On the occasion of the cinema release on October 5 of the film Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, AlloCiné offers parents the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the favorite series of their teenagers, of which this feature film is a direct sequel.
After the success of Dragon Ball Super: Broly in 2019, the Toei studio has started work on this second feature film, which gives pride of place to Gohan and Piccolo. The story is as follows: The Red Ribbon army had been destroyed by Son Goku, but individuals decided to revive it.
They thus created the ultimate cyborgs, Gamma 1 and Gamma 2. Self-proclaimed “Super Heroes”, they launch an attack against Piccolo and Son Gohan. What is the purpose of this new organization of the Red Ribbon? Faced with this approaching danger, it’s time for the real heroes to wake up!

In the aftermath of his fierce fight with Majin Buu, Goku tries to keep the peace on Earth. The arrival of many extraterrestrials forces him to surpass himself once again and engage in a terrible battle that will bring him to a new dimension, beyond the possibilities of the imagination!

Who are the main characters ?
- Goku : We no longer present Son Goku, main character of the Dragon Ball saga. He is a powerful Saiyan born on Planet Vegeta.
- Vegeta : Friend or foe, you never really know with Vegeta. At first antagonistic, he ends up rallying to Goku never to leave him again. In Dragon Ball Super, their duo is at the center of the story. He is also a Saiyan from Planet Vegeta.
- Beerus : He is the god of destruction of the seventh universe. He first appears as the main antagonist in the Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods feature film. Subsequently, he becomes a major character in Dragon Ball Super. He looks like a purple-colored cat with bunny ears. With a rather childish temperament, he can get angry easily and become very violent if he doesn’t get what he wants.
- whiskey : This is Beerus’ martial arts master. Whis is also his servant, an angel serving the God of Destruction. He can only resign from his functions if the latter were to disappear. He would thus resume his functions upon the arrival of a new god of destruction. He loves good food and loves the little dishes concocted by Bulma, Vegeta’s wife.

- Saiyan : The Saiyans, or Saiyans, are the extraterrestrials native to the planet Vegeta. Several characters, including Son Goku, are part of this people.
- Kakarot : This is Son Goku’s birth name. Vegeta often calls him like this.
- Kamehameha : The Kame Hame Ha, which could be translated as “Turtle’s destructive wave”, is a very powerful combat technique transmitted to Goku by his mentor Master Turtle.
- Namek : This is the planet of origin of the Dragon Balls whose quest is the main plot of the story of the saga. Namek has several suns, so it never gets dark there.
- The Red Ribbon Army : This is a very powerful military organization led by General Red. At the beginning of Dragon Ball, he wants to acquire the seven crystal balls by all means in order to solve a problem with his personality.
The anecdote that will amaze your teenager!
- Vegetables and alcoholic beverages are hidden behind the names of the characters: Kakarot = carrot, Beerus = beer, Whis = Whisky, Vegeta = Vegetables (vegetables), Champa (champagne), Broly (broccoli).
- The word Saiyan is an anagram of “yasai”, a Japanese term meaning “vegetable”.
- Jiren: By reversing the first name of this fearsome warrior from universe 11, we get the Japanese word “renji” which means “stove”.
- Bulma: Like all members of her family, Bulma’s first name refers to an undergarment. In this case, bloomers (in Japanese, “buruma”). As for his son, Trunks, his first name means “underpants”.
- In VF, Gohan, Trunks and Broly have the same voice as Joey in Friends! They are voiced by comedian Mark Lesser.
