It has already been more than three years since Square Enix announced Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fatewhose development continues, and a project Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake therefore using the aesthetics of games Octopath Traveler and others. Its only trailer at the time sold us a dream, but unfortunately we haven’t seen anything since. We had to wait until the last Dragon Quest Day for us to learn that it would be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and PC (Steam and Windows) and rumor had it that we would hear more from him during the month of June. Indeed, in addition to this Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake to be released on November 14, 2024Square Enix has made official what many players assumed due to the many years of development, namely that the rest of the trilogy will follow in 2025 with Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake. If you’re not familiar with these games, you might be confused as to why we’re releasing the third one first, but it’s a prequel, so it’s definitely in order that we’ll be able to find out everything at final. In passing, we learn that the Team Asano is supported by Artdink for the development of modernized versions of these three games.
