It was last November during a dedicated showcase that Capcom had revealed the release date of Dragon’s Dogma 2new Action RPG by Hideaki Itsuno eagerly awaited by an entire community. Many details and around forty minutes of gameplay were then shared to make our mouths water. Now less than two months from its launch, it reappeared on the occasion of the State of Play this Wednesday evening with an action-packed trailer facing some very angry enemies who will stand in our way.
Fire-breathing dragon, a sort of heavily armed minotaur, a griffin with sharp claws… there will be no shortage of dangers. The video takes the opportunity to introduce a new class qualified as versatile, the Conqueror, which only our avatar the Insurgent can use. Capcom also shares information about a terrible disease and introduces Class Masters. You can also find some additional visuals on the next page.
The Conqueror
Reserved for the Insurgent, the new Conqueror class is capable of using all weapons and acquiring skills from other classes. The diversity of weapons at his disposal allows the conqueror to face all kinds of situations and create combos that transcend the limits imposed by classes. Due to its lower base stats, the Conqueror must make the most of the environment and the specific qualities of each weapon to compete against more specialized classes.
The Dragon Plague
The Draconic Plague is a type of contagious disease that infects Pawns as they travel between worlds. Rather than being weakened, pawns carrying the disease are renowned for their extraordinary abilities and for the boldness they display, both in their words and in their behavior. Some legends claim that in its final stages, the Dragon Plague causes a devastating calamity, but the veracity of these claims remains questionable.
The Class Masters
Throughout their travels, players will encounter Class Masters who have achieved absolute control of their art. By developing links with them, they will succeed in gaining their approval to access their class or receive from their hands special works, the “teachings of the Maistre”, which will give them high-level skills.
- Lennart, the Master Warrior and Swordsman serving the fortified village of Melve for a long time, he has exceptional combat skills and his leadership skills have allowed him to hold the fort and protect these lands from the Dragon’s incursions.
- For his part, Master Knight-mage Sigurd hunts down Dragons for reasons that are his own. He is a calm man with an inquisitive mind, who trains tirelessly to perfect his fighting skills and unique style.
- Finally, luz, former Court Seer of Vermund and Master Illusionisthas currently taken refuge in hiding, because she fears for her life after having denounced the accession to the throne of the false Insurgent.
