In Dragon’s Dogma 2 you will have to cover very long distances from time to time, but you don’t necessarily have to do it on foot. There are two fast travel options in the game.
Inexpensive fast travel with carts
The budget option is tied to cities. Look for an ox symbol near you on your map and walk there. You will find a bell with an ox cart standing next to it. If it isn’t there, you can use the bell to skip the time until the cart appears.
Once the oxcart appears, you must 200 gold pay for the trip. When you sit down on the red cushion in the cart, the journey begins. You can take a nap during the game to pass the time.
However, the nap can be interrupted if the oxcart is attacked. In this case, you just have to defeat the opponents in order to continue driving.
Expensive fast travel with target crystals
Traveling using destination crystals is more expensive. These are similar to the ox carts in cities and villages. With these you can travel from one crystal to another.
During the course of the main quest you will also receive freely placeable target crystals. You can then distribute these around the world as you wish. But since there are very few in the game, you should use them carefully.

In order to be able to use the target crystals you have found or set, you need travel stones. You can find these, but also buy them. You can get such a stone from Philbert in Vernworth, among others, but it costs 10,000 gold.
If you have such a stone, open your inventory and use it to throw it into the air. A list of the target crystals you have found or set will then open. Once you have used a travel stone, it is used up.
It is unclear whether anything will change in the travel system. After all, a DLC for Dragon’s Dogma 2 is already planned, which offers the potential for change.
