Drainus, Ladybug’s new shoot’em up, is coming to Steam

The Drainus is first and foremost a vessel, the flagship of Kharlal’s imperial fleet, capable of absorbing enemy fire to return it to its advantage. It is piloted by Irina, a young slave from the planet Halpax, ready to do anything to save her father from an incurable disease. But, as she desperately searches for a cure, Irina receives an impromptu visit from Gehnie, a humanoid frog who has come from the future to prevent a war which, in 30 years, will annihilate all of Humanity if no one dares to rebel against the oppressive policy of the Empire. Everyone has understood: she is the last rampart before the Apocalypse.

It is from this disheveled canvas that Drainus builds the progression of his shootmade of waves of mobs and multi-story tall mech bosses. The real originality of the title is its reflector, a power that will allow our ship to drain enemy fire to turn it into tactical advantages. Stored in reservoirs, this energy can be converted into various itemsranging from the simple shield to the massive counter-attack or the addition of new weapons.

And the good news is that there is not even a wait: the game is already available, on Steam, for a dozen euros.
