Drake (35) first commented on the mass panic at the Astroworld Festival. Eight people died and 300 were injured in the accident in Houston on Friday. An affected visitor has sued the Canadian rapper and organizer Travis Scott (30), accusing the musicians of inciting the audience.
Drake prays for families and friends
On his Instagram account Drake has now published a statement. A text against a black background. “I’ve spent the last few days processing this devastating tragedy,” writes the star. It is difficult for him to express a feeling like sadness on this platform, but currently sees it as the only possibility.
“My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who have lost their lives and for everyone who suffers. I will continue to pray for all of them and stand by them in any way I can,” he continues.
