A pedestrian was run over and killed by a semitrailer in Lustenau, Vorarlberg, on Wednesday. According to initial findings, the pedestrian crossed the L203 immediately in front of the articulated truck when it had to stop due to traffic.
When the vehicle traffic started moving again, the driver of the articulated lorry drove off again and failed to see the pedestrian who was directly in front of his vehicle. The woman fell under the truck and suffered fatal injuries as a result. She died at the scene of the accident.
