A 65-year-old hiker died on Monday afternoon after a medical emergency. The German hiked with his wife on the Tauplitzalm.
At around 1:15 p.m., the hiker and his wife were on a marked hiking trail on the Tauplitzalm. In the area of the “Simonywarte” the man complained of chest pain and made an emergency call.
Despite the intensive efforts of the C14 emergency doctor for the life of the 65-year-old, the attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful. The man died at the scene of the accident. His wife was looked after by a KIT team.
