Dramatic scenes took place on board a Eurowings flight from Cologne to Egypt. One passenger died on the plane. The plane had to make an emergency landing in Carinthia.
“A 71-year-old suddenly suffered a medical emergency – the crew therefore had to make an emergency landing in Klagenfurt on Saturday,” announced a Eurowings spokesman. “At the airport, the passenger was treated immediately by an emergency doctor. Unfortunately, any help came too late for the 71-year-old pensioner. “
Lilihill spokesman Gerhard Seifried confirmed the emergency landing in Carinthia on Sunday: “The Airbus A320 had to land with us at around 4 p.m. At around 7 p.m., the 178 guests were brought back to Cologne. “
