Dreamday instead of Dreamball: Stars support the charity event virtually this year

Due to the corona restrictions, the dreamball becomes the virtual dreamday. Barbara Schöneberger takes on the moderation once again.

Countless events have already had to be canceled around the world due to the corona pandemic, the charity gala Dreamball is going its own way. Due to the restrictions, DKMS LIFE is turning the Dreamball into a virtual Dreamday this year. Moderator Barbara Schöneberger (46) will give the starting shot on September 24th with an exclusive online concert for patients.

Cancer doesn't take a break

Since 2006, DKMS LIFE has hosted the Dreamball every September in order to generate donations to support people with cancer. The corona pandemic also poses challenges for cancer patients in particular. Isolation and restrictions put a strain on everyday life again – the new campaign under the motto "Cancer doesn't take a break" should draw attention to this.

Until the end of December, numerous prominent campaign ambassadors such as fashion designer Guido Maria Kretschmer (55), presenter and patron of the event Sylvie Meis (42) and model Stefanie Giesinger (24) show their solidarity with the sick as part of the campaign.

Sarah Connor and Sasha provide the music

Prominent artists such as Sarah Connor (40), Sasha (48) and Graham Candy (29) provide musical entertainment on Dreamday. In the afternoon, the concert is available online exclusively for patients. Another highlight is the online charity event with live broadcast in the evening. Moderator Barbara Schöneberger will be on stage together with host and DKMS-LIFE managing director Ruth Neri. Numerous celebrities, such as the campaign ambassadors Palina Rojinski (35) and Angelina Kirsch (32), will support the event.
