The closet is too full and bags and accessories occupy the whole bedroom anyway? Then it is time to organize your own dressing room!
Sure, not everyone has a room in their apartment or house that is only available for storing clothes and getting dressed. Doesn’t have to either! A dressing room can also be set up in a small chamber as a walk-in closet or in a separate corner in the bedroom. For this, lightweight walls can be drawn in or a part can be separated with screens (there are nice room divider ideas here).

1st closet
So that you choose the right system for your dressing room, you should consider the following before buying:
- How much clothing do you already have and how much buffer do you need?
- How many shoes and accessories do you own?
- How big is the room?
- Note which spatial conditions could still play a role, e.g. B. sloping ceilings, stairs, angled corners, etc.
- Do you need additional furniture, such as B. a seat?
To stow your clothes you can …
- … classic cabinet systems with doors or open
- Put open shelving systems with clothes rails and compartments plus lots of drawers.
Which one is the right one depends entirely on the individual wishes:
- With doors, the room always looks tidy.
- Open systems make your favorite outfit immediately to hand.
- Hanging systems offer plenty of space for blouses, dresses, etc.
- In large and small subjects z. B. Sweaters and handbags are in good hands.
- For shoes, you can use ordinary shelves (pay attention to the height of the compartments so that boots fit in) or integrate shoe racks.
- When setting up a dressing room under a sloping ceiling, made-to-measure cabinets are the best choice – every centimeter is used perfectly!
2. Mirror

3. Light
The light in the dressing room should not be underestimated! Colors can have a completely different effect in dim light than in daylight, so a window would be ideal in addition to ceiling lighting. 5. Dressing table
If the room allows it, there is space for one Make-up corner at! A place for eye shadow, nail polish bottles and nobody who annoys you because you blocked the bathroom … A small table with a chair and a (lighted) mirror is usually enough for a make-up corner – and voila, make-up and outfit are in no time at all ready to go!
If you don’t like to make-up, you use the space differently: Free corners can also be used for other furniture such as Armchair, a bench with a chest (storage space miracle!) Or a sideboard with chic decoration use.
6. That certain something
