DrillHeat, a company specializing in surface geothermal drilling, exceeds 55,000 meters of geothermal probes installed and accelerates its development – 06/19/2024 at 6:14 p.m.

Pau, June 19, 2024 – A subsidiary of Arverne Group, an industrial player specializing in the production of subsurface renewable energies, DrillHeat announces having reached 55,000 meters of geothermal probes installed on French territory. These probes, placed between 100 and 200 meters deep, allow DrillHeat partners to heat and cool buildings using natural calories from the subsoil.

With its fleet of 6 drilling rigs – including 3 acquired since the beginning of 2024 – DrillHeat has become, in less than two years, the surface geothermal drilling company with the largest number of workshops in France.

142 probes have been installed since the start of the year, and nearly 400 since DrillHeat’s first achievements in October 2022, on sites such as the construction of a municipal gymnasium in Sarliac-sur-L’Isle, that of an office building for Icade Promotion Tertiaire or the energy renovation of the campus of the Institut Agro de Montpellier, in partnership with Dalkia. All of the installed probes are integrated into various installations making it possible to produce nearly 7 GWh of carbon-free heat each year, or the consumption of 350 buildings of 100m²*.

Many new projects are already planned for the coming months, and concern various activities (school groups, municipal swimming pools, EHPAD, tertiary buildings, etc.). The commercial dynamic is therefore clearly confirmed and committed.
