The company Cana presented a beverage printer. With a single cartridge full of flavorings, thousands of different drinks can be mixed, including Juice, soft drinks, iced coffee and sports drinks. Cana One is said to be able to “print” even wine and cocktails. Alcohol, caffeine and sugar are adjusted individually. The selection is made via a touch screen.

According to Cana, a team of scientists has been popular for three years Beverages studied at the molecular level. The researchers were able to isolate the trace compounds that are responsible for the taste and aroma. A number of ingredients were then developed in order to be able to offer the widest possible range of drinks. A “novel micro-fluidic liquid delivery technology” is used (source: Cana).

In addition to tasty drinks, Cana is also hoping for one reducing waste and the associated emissions. According to the forecast, drinks in bottles and cans will no longer have to be bought. A single cartridge should last about a month and, according to the plans, will be replaced free of charge. Instead, payment is based on drinks. Prices are said to range from 29 cents to $3, and are said to be cheaper than retail bottled beverages in any case.
