Driven by pim – Little Cleo escaped and landed on rails

A small but very adventurous dog first rode the tram alone in Linz and then had to be rescued and cared for by police officers and the Icara animal rescue service. Here the whole story.

Cleo on a big trip! The little Maltese lady went for a walk with her owner in Linz in the late afternoon and went on a long journey. She wandered through the city and very probably even rode through the city – as it turned out later – on the tram.Police operation at 5 a.m.But what initially began as an adventure ended in a police operation. Cleo was spotted by passersby around 5 a.m. on Thursday. The animal was completely soaked and was visibly scared. It walked around on the tram tracks in the Goethestrasse area. Animal rescue Icara was called to bring the animal to safety. “Together with the head of operations from Linz AG, a tram driver and three police officers, we were able to save the little one after a short chase,” said the animal rescuers. The little bitch was immediately wrapped in a warm blanket and cared for. The owner took Cleo from the animal shelter, but after that the search for the owner began. Because the animal is chipped and registered, the phone number could be found quickly, but the owner was initially unable to be reached. Cleo was taken to the animal shelter, but the owners quickly picked her up from there.
