The 42-year-old driver was driving towards Vienna with her eight-year-old son shortly before 8 p.m. She wanted to get off the A2 at Ilz. But according to her, the gear could no longer be changed and the car lost speed. A 36-year-old East Styrian from the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district who was driving behind her was no longer able to brake or swerve in time. There was a rear-end collision! The driver and her son were taken to Oberwart Hospital, but only the woman was found to be injured. The 36-year-old also remained uninjured. The Hohenegg, Obergrossau, Untergrossau and Sinabelkirchen fire departments were on duty, and the two cars involved in the accident were badly damaged.
