In July of this year, a passer-by found a badly damaged car lying on its roof in the Lecknertal (Vorarlberg). The car’s owner denied having anything to do with the matter, claiming that the car was stolen at the district music festival. As it turned out, the man had told the police a tall tale.

On July 8, a passer-by in the Lecknertal was amazed when he discovered a car lying on its roof next to the road, the license plates were missing. The man alerted the police, who eventually found the car owner. The 23-year-old told the police that he had parked the car in the parking lot of the district music festival the night before. Someone must have stolen it there. He himself had absolutely nothing to do with the whole thing. Evaluation of the traces paid off The police were not satisfied with this explanation and started extensive investigations. The work paid off, because the evaluation of the tracks finally brought the truth to light: no one else than the car owner himself could have been behind the wheel of the accident car. Confronted with this investigation result, the 23-year-old finally admitted everything. Confession On July 8, between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m., he drove from Lingenau in the direction of Lecknertal. In a left turn, he left the road, the car overturned and landed on the roof on an embankment. The 23-year-old removed the license plate and fled. Now several ads are fluttering into the man’s house.
