Driver drunk – two cars thrown off Pyhrn Autobahn

Two cars were thrown off the Pyhrn Autobahn on Sunday morning. An alcoholic driver hit the rear of another driver’s vehicle while overtaking. Both had to be taken to a hospital.

The traffic accident occurred around 7 a.m. on the A9 Pyhrn Autobahn at kilometer 195. A 43-year-old driver from the Graz-Umwelt district wanted to overtake a 78-year-old driver from the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district. However, he hit the rear of the vehicle. After both cars skidded and left the road, the woman’s car crashed through a deer fence and finally came to a rest.
