A 16-year-old moped driver was hit by a car on Tuesday in the local area of Spittal an der Drau and was thrown a few meters further onto a sidewalk by the impact of the car. The injured 16-year-old was treated by two paramedics who happened to be passing by and then taken to the Spittal an der Drau hospital.
A 47-year-old driver from the Spittal an der Drau district was driving her car around 5:30 p.m. in the Spittal area. When she reached a bus stop, she wanted to turn her car and overlooked the 16-year-old moped driver. The impact threw the 16-year-old over the car a few meters further onto a sidewalk. The young man was cared for by two paramedics who happened to be passing by until the rescue team arrived. The casualty was then taken to the Spittal an der Drau hospital by the ambulance service and treated there on an outpatient basis. He sustained injuries of unspecified degrees to his right hand and right leg. The alcohol tests carried out on both drivers were negative.
