Driver’s license gone – coach driver built an accident with 2.38 per mille

Passengers were spared driving with a drunken handlebars on Monday in Linz due to a property damage accident. When the police recorded the accident, the driver was found to have a blood alcohol content of 2.38.

The 40-year-old from the Amstetten district drove his unoccupied coach on Langgasse in Linz at around 5:45 p.m. When he turned into Gesellenhausstrasse, where he was supposed to pick up his passengers, he caused a traffic accident with minor damage. The police officers noticed clear symptoms of alcoholism, which is why an alcohol test was carried out. This was positive with 2.38 per mille.Replacement driver had to step in. An alcohol test was not possible for the driver’s health, which is why the driver was brought to the medical officer. This certified that he was unfit to drive – his driver’s license was provisionally taken from him and he will be reported. The passengers waiting in front of a hotel continued their journey with a replacement driver.
