Driver’s license revoked – police stopped alcohol and drug drivers

There were three driver’s license inspections over the course of Saturday in Salzburg. In addition to a drunk driver, Salzburg’s police officers also encountered a drug-impaired probationary driver’s license holder.

A 36-year-old from Tennengauer crashed into the guardrail on Pass Gschütt Straße (B 166) on Saturday evening and then escaped from the driver. Since he had lost his license plate there, the officers were able to easily locate the driver. A breathalyzer showed 1.92 per thousand. He is reported for hit and run. There were also two offenses in Pinzgau: in the Zell am See area, police officers found a 73-year-old had an alcohol level of 1.06 per mille. The Pinzgauer was forbidden to continue driving. He is reported to the BH Zell am See. In the case of a 21-year-old probationary driver’s license holder, also from the Pinzgau, the police officers found an impairment through drugs. The young man tested positive for cannabis, amphetamine and methamphetamine. He was also forbidden to continue his journey. He is shown.
