Drôme: she sleeps peacefully without suspecting that she will come close to death in the middle of the night

A teenager living in Valence almost passed by when an object as dangerous as it was unexpected invited itself into her room.

Nightmare awake. The facts took place in the Drôme on October 20, and more precisely in the Plan district, in Valence. It was around 12:30 a.m. when a young teenage girl who was sleeping peacefully at home was suddenly awakened by… Kalashnikov fire. According to BFMTV, on the night of Sunday October 20 to Monday October 21, several shooters targeted an apartment in the Plan district. To reach it, they rode scooters and targeted the facade of the building with Kalashnikovs. The operation was a success since two bullets hit the target apartmentin which the teenager was peacefully asleep.

Still according to BFMTV, one of the bullets hit the facade of the building, but the second managed to enter the apartment, even into the bedroom of a young girl. Awakened by the detonation, the latter realized that the bullet embedded itself just above her bed, and she narrowly escaped death. More fear than harm therefore, fortunately. Despite shell casings found near the targeted building, no arrests have been made so far. As the mayor of the city explained to BFMTV journalists, these shots are undoubtedly related to drug trafficking that take place in this district of Valencia.

Insufficient means

“We know very well that we are in a priority security zone, we know very well that in this street, as in another street in the neighboring district, we have drug trafficking which has been established for many years”. The problem being that law enforcement agencies lack resources to investigate and arrest potential culprits. Mayor Nicolas Daragon specifies: “Thirty individuals have been spotted on each deal point. I call on the government to provide the means”.
