“We have just completed an excellent 1

er

quarter 2024 on a commercial level, well beyond our already high ambitions. Above all, the keys to this quarter’s success, whether the new deliveries which further increase the historic volume signed in February 2023 or the ramp-up of our DRONE VOLT EXPERT service activity, are powerful drivers which will continue to drive us carry into the future.

Thanks to this dynamic and the growth drivers that constitute our new LINEDRONE and DRONE VOLT KOBRA drones, we are confident in our ability to achieve our annual objective of growth and recurrence of our gross margin. »

declares Marc Courcelle, Managing Director of DRONE VOLT.

Quarterly turnover multiplied by 5.7

DRONE VOLT announced, during the 1

er

quarter 2024, its ambition to double its turnover and gross margin at the end of March. These objectives were largely exceeded.

Thus, DRONE VOLT recorded revenue growth of 466% in 1

er

quarter 2024 and ends with a turnover of 8.9 million euros.

This increase in DRONE VOLT’s turnover is driven by the favorable results of the historic order signed in February 2023. Not only did the Group deliver, invoice and collect the balance of this order, for approximately 4 million euros during of the quarter, but it is now receiving regular orders which represented 2.6 million euros in invoicing and collections at the end of March and 1.7 million euros since the beginning of April.

Stronger than expected increase in gross margin

The other high value-added activities, grouped within DRONE VOLT FACTORY, SERVICES & ACADEMY, are not left out with a turnover which has more than doubled in 1 year to reach almost 0.7 million euros at the end of March 2024. More than a third of quarterly revenues come from the new DRONE VOLT EXPERT service offering dedicated to the provision of “Drone as a Service” in the areas of surveillance, inspection, acquisition and data processing by drones. Thanks to the turnover and gross margin generated, this activity now contributes positively to the Group’s results.

At the same time, DRONE VOLT continues the deployment of its solutions with the delivery of 16 drones, including 11 HERCULES 20 in the United States and 1 HELIPLANE. These two flagship products benefit from major technological advances, whether it is the load capacity (payload up to 15 kg) of the HERCULES 20 or the capacity for takeoff in reduced spaces (VTOL profile) and long-duration flights ( until 3 hours) from the HELIPLANE.

Thanks to this solid dynamic, the consolidated gross margin for the quarter exceeds 1 million euros, up 213%.

Levers to maintain the dynamic of increasing profitability

At the end of this solid 1

er

quarter 2024, DRONE VOLT confirms the robustness of its 3 pillars:

  • The provision of services, a source of growth, recurrence and profitability, driven by the rise of DRONE VOLT EXPERT, both in France with internal teams and the expansion of the network of Ambassadors (independent remote pilots subcontracted ) as well as internationally with the start of activity in Canada. The commercial launch of offers around the LINEDRONE (high-voltage line inspection drone sold as a service) will also contribute to the growth of high-margin service revenues. The Group’s international dimension should enable it to be consulted more and more often in calls for tenders in Europe and North America;

  • The enrichment of the drone offering, with the confirmed success of

    bestseller

    HERCULES 20, confirmation of the potential of the HELIPLANE and the arrival in the coming months of the DRONE VOLT KOBRA (surveillance drone). The significant R&D efforts are now reaching maturity and make it possible to have a wide range and to be able to enter a phase of returns on investments;

  • Distribution which continues to play a triple strategic role of volume generation, good knowledge of all industry solutions and a breeding ground for conversion towards high value-added solutions.

DRONE VOLT will also be able to capitalize on the continued expansion of its distribution network, as evidenced by the agreements concluded since the beginning of the year in the Middle East and Turkey.

In this context, DRONE VOLT confirms its ambition for a significant increase in its consolidated gross margin over the entire 2024 financial year. Accompanied by a contained reduction in operational costs, it should make it possible to significantly improve the Group’s profitability. . Indeed, the Company can support this dynamic of strong organic growth in its gross margin at constant workforce (60 employees at the end of 2023) while strictly controlling its R&D investments.
