(AOF) – Drone Volt, manufacturer of professional civil drones and expert in embedded solutions, provides an update on the commercial deployment of the Linedrone. Drone Volt holds the exclusive global industrialization and marketing rights for the Linedrone. The latter, developed in partnership with the Canadian group Hydro-Québec, makes it possible to inspect high-voltage electrical lines (inspection of sleeves and conductor corrosion) in order to enable better maintenance of assets without interrupting their operation.
After delivering the first examples of the Linedrone during the second half of 2023 to its Canadian partner, Drone Volt carried out its first demonstrations with different electricity transmission operators in Germany, Belgium, France and Canada, with results very conclusive.
In Brazil, Drone Volt is currently negotiating a partnership agreement to provide equipment and services as part of electrical network inspection activities.
“The demonstrations carried out have already allowed us to receive numerous expressions of interest in the Linedrone and we are confident of reaching contracts which will contribute to our activity from 2024.” declares Marc Courcelle, general manager of Drone Volt.
