Good news for Mac owners with an M1 chip, and avid users of Dropbox

Their favorite application will soon be native to the ecosystem.

Dropbox soon in Apple M1 mode

The must-have online storage and local file copy sharing service Dropbox is gearing up for its arrival on M1 Macs. The application is already accessible of course, via Rosetta, and we are talking here about a native application, designed for Apple systems.

The Dropbox teams first announced that the application would never be offered in a native version, before backing down, indicating that this new Dropbox application would be available before the summer of 2022. According to MacRumors, the first beta would be very close.

For the time being tested by a small panel of users, this new beta version of Dropbox for Apple M1 could be downloadable by the end of January. A reworked version to lead to improved performance and better energy management. To be continued.
