The broadcast date has been set: The 20th and final season of the talent show “DSDS” starts on January 14, 2023 on RTL.
The 20th and final season of the RTL casting show “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” starts on January 14, 2023 at 8:15 p.m. The broadcaster announced this on Tuesday. In the anniversary season of the talent show, veteran Dieter Bohlen (68) is back as chief judge, who says: “DSDS? The D stands for Dieter!” The jury completes “DSDS” winner Pietro Lombardi (30), singer Leony (25) and rapper Katja Krasavice (26).
Last season aims to restore old spirit
RTL promises “big voices, extravagant free spirits and all that with an entertainment factor of 20 and a wink” for the new episodes. As a farewell, Dieter Bohlen should once again provide entertainment with “gentle tones, merciless criticism and cult sayings that leave no eye dry”. “In short: Everything that the DSDS fans love, they get back. And for the anniversary, one or the other review and a reunion with beloved DSDS cult candidates,” announces the broadcaster.
RTL will show the first episode on January 14th, RTL+ will provide episodes 1 and 2 after the stream.
Lombardi also on Bohlen’s farewell tour
Dieter Bohlen makes the fans even more happy. With “Dieter Bohlen Live 2023 – The greatest comeback of all time” the former modern-talking singer is going on tour again. On the open-air stage in Beelitz, Brandenburg on August 19, 2023 according to the current status, his last of at least 15 concerts will take place. Also present: jury colleague Pietro Lombardi.
A deep friendship, the fun of their music and now their joint work as a juror on “DSDS” made it obvious “that I asked Pietro if he would be a special guest on my last tour,” said Bohlen. Pietro Lombardi’s commitment was not long in coming. Bohlen has been close friends with him since his “DSDS” win in 2011. “We have a lot in common, we are always there for each other, no matter what phase in life, that’s what true friendship is all about,” Lombardi enthused about his friendship with Bohlen in an Instagram post. Bohlen’s farewell tour starts on April 16, 2023 in Berlin.
