Duchess Camilla decorated a Christmas tree for a charity campaign – and got virtual help from children for it.

Duchess Camilla (73) followed an annual Christmas tradition in her London residence Clarence House – however, due to the corona pandemic, she had to use a little trick. Normally, the Duchess and a hospice association invite terminally ill children to decorate the Christmas tree in Clarence House with them. This year the children could only be part of it virtually a video on Twitter shows.

"I miss you here very much and it is not the same without you," said the wife of Prince Charles (72) to the children and parents who have switched on via video. Decorating the tree is one of her highlights of the year. A guard named Charlie helped the Duchess with the decorating, the children were allowed to tell her where they would like to see their self-made Christmas tree decorations hanging on the tree. In addition, the Duchess sent the children self-packed gift bags in a carriage, which they unpacked beaming with joy.
