Duchess Camilla: This is how she looked at her first appointment as Colonel of Honor

The Duchess of Cornwall has had her first appointment as Colonel-in-Chief. She was given the title in July.

Duchess Camilla visited the headquarters of the Infantry Regiment of the British Army, The Rifles, for the first time in her role as Colonel-in-Chief. During her visit to the Beachley Barracks, the military base in Wales, the 73-year-old wore a knee-length dress in pine green and a brooch with the symbol of the Rifles, plus pearl earrings and several fine chains. She completed the look with a handbag in the exact same color as her dress.

The Colonel-in-Chief – or Colonel of Honor – is the regiment's patron. His position is "only" ceremonial. Prince Philip (99) retired in 2017. In July of that year he had conferred the historic military title on the Duchess of Cornwall.
