Tribute to soldiers and Prince Philip

Duchess Camilla not only remembered the fallen soldiers with a bouquet of flowers on Remembrance Day. She also honored Prince Philip.
As every year, Remembrance Day takes place in Great Britain on November 11th. After Queen Elizabeth II (95) currently has to take precautionary measures, Duchess Camilla (74) represented the royal family this year. At the tomb of the unknown soldier, she laid a bouquet of flowers in memory of the fallen. In doing so, she indirectly honored Prince Philip (1921-2021), who died in April of this year.
As stated on the royal family’s official Twitter account, Philip used Remembrance Day regularly to lay a wreath on the very memorial. “In honor of this tradition, the Duchess of Cornwall laid flowers at the grave after her visit.” As in the previous year, she was also given the task of placing the wooden memorial cross for the opening of the Field of Remembrance in the garden of Westminster Abbey. Two minutes of silence across the country followed.
