The relationship between Duchess Catherine, 39, and Duchess Meghan, 40, has always been a bit difficult, but now the two should understand better than ever on a purely private level. As a source revealed in Us Weekly, the two strong women have found a way to put their disagreements aside and just be there for each other.

“Meghan and Kate now get along very well and have more contact again,” reports the insider. “Meghan and Kate’s relationship has never been as close as it is today. They are working on their relationship in the interests of the entire family.” Sisters-in-law Kate and Meghan had a rather complicated relationship over the past few years, but the worst came after Meghan and Prince Harry, 36, gave their explosive interview to Oprah Winfrey, 67, in March this year. In her narration, Meghan claimed that Kate made her cry in an argument before her wedding to Harry in May 2018. Meghan said in an interview: “A few days before the wedding, she criticized the flower girl’s dresses and that made me cry. It really hurt my feelings.” The Duchess of Sussex made it clear, however, that Kate apologized to her after the incident. At the time the interview aired, Kate and Meghan had been out of contact for a year after Meghan and Harry turned their backs on and into the British royal family USA.

The tension between them was due in part to Harry’s ongoing split with his brother Prince William, 39. “The brothers have real animosity and that has affected Meghan and Kate’s relationship too, making it very difficult for them to be friendly with each other,” the insider said. But by now they are said to have found a way to put the family quarrel aside and just be there for each other. “Both have come to the conclusion that the argument between them was wasted energy,” the insider continued. The birth of Harry and Meghan’s daughter Lilibet Diana two months ago helped bring the family closer together. “Meghan and Kate have been in contact with each other since Lilibet was born. Thanks to the children, they have a common theme and can hardly wait for all of the cousins to finally get to know each other. Kate often sends Meghan text messages, small gifts and cards. She tries hard to rebuild a friendly relationship with her. ” The family should be relieved about this development and hope that this thinking will also spread to the quarreling brothers.
