Prince William was rewarded by Duchess Catherine for winning his polo team! At a charity event, Kate kissed her winner – making for a rare moment.

Duchess Catherine, 40, and Prince William, 40, rarely show their love in public. However, the two made an exception during a charity polo match in Windsor on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.

Duchess Catherine kisses her husband

Kate hugged her husband and kissed his cheek affectionately after his team won. The couple then left the field in a tight embrace. Kate wore a long white dress with black accents to the event. She combined beige and black slingbacks, large earrings and sunglasses.

Kissing prohibited?

Royal etiquette expert Myka Meier, 40, told People magazine there were no formal rules for royal couples. “Royals often adapt their demeanor to the formality of the event they are attending,” she explained. Whether Kate and William hug or kiss in public is at their own discretion.

Another rarity at the fundraiser, which raised more than $1 million for a charity, was the family dog. The cocker spaniel lady Orla was also allowed to come to the event near Windsor Castle. She moved in with the Royals in late 2020.
