Duchess Kate and Prince William: New pictures of the Royal Kids: George and Co. meet their idol

Film premiere in their own garden: That was what the children of Prince William and Duchess Kate experienced last week. Now there are pictures.

Without a red carpet and paparazzi: The Cambridge Royals celebrated a film premiere in their own garden on Thursday. Prince William (38) was allowed to watch his new documentary "A Life on Our Planet" together with filmmaker Sir David Attenborough (94). Now Kensington Palace has released pictures that also show the mini-royals who are completely excited about meeting their idol.

Special gift for George

The pictures that the palace shared on Instagram show Prince George in particular very interested. Attenborough gave the seven-year-old a basking shark tooth, which he admires in the pictures. "Sir David found the tooth while on a family vacation in Malta in the late 1960s," explains the palace. Princess Charlotte (5) is also there and is almost amazed when she sees her idol. Duchess Kate (38) shows herself in a simple blue dress, in a partner look with the two-year-old Prince Louis, who is of course also part of the party. In a preview of the film premiere, Kate revealed: "Our children (…) are your biggest fans."

Another picture shows Prince William and Sir David Attenborough watching the film. The two sit in director's chairs – with reversed names. "With a shared passion to protect nature, the two of them never stop fighting each other in their missions to fight some of the planet's greatest environmental problems," said the palace. A picture of the two director's chairs had been published in a previous post. Royal fans had speculated that Prince William and Sir David Attenborough would realize a joint film project.
