To celebrate the reopening of numerous museums, Duchess Kate also visited a house of art – and it attracted everyone’s attention.

Duchess Kate (39) made a special appearance during a museum visit not far from Kensington Palace: she strutted on high black pumps to mark the reopening of the Victoria and Albert Museum. The visit was also representative of the many openings in art houses after the easing in England.

The 39-year-old, who studied art history, wore a red midi dress with a black checked pattern by Alessandra Rich, which accentuated her slim figure with a button placket and a V-neckline with a Peter Pan collar. Fine necklaces, gold hoop earrings and a small black clutch completed the outfit.

The Duchess saw, among other things, the “Alice: Curiouser and Curiouser” exhibition, which opens this weekend. It shows more than 300 objects from film, fashion, art, music and photography that were inspired in various ways by “Alice in Wonderland”, with works from Salvador Dali to the Beatles to Vivienne Westwood.
