Duchess Kate drew everyone’s attention at a military parade in Jamaica. As an outfit, she chose a white lace dress as a Queen tribute.

A dream in white: Duchess Kate (40) made a real statement during her Caribbean trip on her last evening in Jamaica with a lace dress – and at the same time paid homage to Queen Elizabeth II (95). She wore an almost identical robe during one of her tours of Australia in 1954.

Together with Prince William (39) was Kate according to the “Daily Mail” at a military parade loaded by the Jamaican Armed Forces for the sixth day in the Caribbean. She wore a tailored white lace dress with short sleeves by Alexander McQueen. A white floral cartwheel style hat by Philip Treacy completed her ensemble. She also relied entirely on the Queen’s taste when it came to jewelry: she wore a rather simple trio of pearls on her wrist that once belonged to Princess Diana.

At that time, the Queen opted for a black handbag

Matching simple pearl earrings completed her perfect look. The Queen chose the nearly identical outfit at a garden party Down Under in 1954, but she wore white evening gloves, which Kate didn’t wear in this case. Unlike the Queen, who chose a black handbag, Kate went all-in uniform: She carried a beaded satin clutch by Anya Hindmarch and paired her dress with white pointed-toe pumps from Emmy London.
