Duchess Kate will be on the tennis court with Roger Federer. The duo invites children to swing the bat.
Duchess Kate (40) will be on the tennis court with tennis star Roger Federer (41) in September. Prince William’s wife (40) wants to raise funds for the children’s charity Action for Children and the LTA Foundation. On the charity day, children between the ages of 8 and 15 have the unique opportunity to play against Federer.
The aim is to get them enthusiastic about tennis and to draw their attention to its positive influence on mind and body. The action takes place as part of the Laver Cup, according to a statement. The international tennis tournament, which Federer once co-founded, will take place from September 23rd to 25th. The Duchess is a huge tennis fan and patron of the British Tennis Association. She regularly honors the Wimbledon tournament and takes a seat in the Royal Box.
Friendship for a long time
Prince William and Duchess Kate have long been friends with the Swiss tennis pro and his wife Miroslava, called Mirka (44). In 2017, the royal couple was there live when Federer lifted the coveted Wimbledon trophy for the eighth time.
