Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan have given the first clues as to which maiden names they would particularly like for their daughter.
Duchess Meghan, 39, and Prince Harry, 36, are expecting their daughter and it cannot be long before their son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, 2, has a little sister. As the couple already indicated, there are already first indications of possible names for their daughter. Expecting Archie to be born in 2019, Harry and Meghan visited the town of Birkenhead and heard suggestions for names from a group of school children.

When a 7-year-old girl named Megan Dudley speaks to the Duchess of Sussex and realizes that both of their friends are only called “Meg”, she suggests a name for the baby. Dudley went on to say, “I asked her if she would name her baby ‘Amy’ when she had a girl and Meghan said, ‘That’s a really nice name, I like it. We have to think about it.’ “During the same appointment, Harry became interested in the name ‘Lily’ and asked a mother how she spelled this flower-inspired name for her daughter. Another name appears on her tour in Melbourne that could be shortlisted. The couple met a fan with a baby named ‘Harriet’, the feminine version of the prince’s own first name. Harry said: “That’s a great name.”
The British bet on the name ‘Philippa’
Since the death of Prince Philip, † 99, in April, the British have been using the name ‘Philippa’ as a popular prediction for the daughter of Meghan and Harry. “The popularity for Baby Philippa never ends,” said Jessica O’Reilly of the Ladbrokes betting company in London. If Harry and Meghan were to pay tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh with their child’s name, they would not be alone. Harry’s cousins Princess Eugenie, 31, and Zara Tindall, 40, paid tribute to their grandfather shortly before his death by giving their newborn sons the middle name Philip.
