Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry: Special donation with rest of the "Sussex Royal" fund

Harry and Meghan made a donation to the organization "Migrateful". This takes care of a matter close to Meghan's heart.

Duchess Meghan (38) and Prince Harry (35) have supported the work of "Migrateful" with the remaining money from the fund of their closed charity "Sussex Royal". The organization announced on Friday on Twitterthat she received a donation of £ 8,000 from the Royal Foundation on behalf of Duchess Meghan (the equivalent of around € 8,800). "We are incredibly grateful that the money is helping us in our 'Migrateful' mission."

Duchess Meghan cares about the topic

The organization supports refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in coping with integration and job search problems, among other things, through cooking classes. Duchess Meghan is very concerned about this topic. One of the first projects she supported as a member of the British Royals was the Hubb Community Kitchen, a communal kitchen in west London in which women cook for their local community. In September 2018, Meghan published a charity cookbook together with the cooks under the title "Together: Our Community Cookbook". There are 50 recipes from the repertoire of women from different cultures.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan founded "Sussex Royal" before formally retiring from the British royal family at the end of March as senior royals. The couple closed the charity after moving from London to Los Angeles. The dukes of Sussex still have to wait for the start of their newly planned umbrella organization for their activities, Archewell. The mark was not registered by the US authorities for various reasons, including that the purpose was said to be too vague, as "The Sun" reported.
