Duchess Meghan: Charity organization deletes "Royal" in her vita

Duchess Meghan (38) and her husband Prince Harry (35) will officially resign from their royal duties on March 31, 2020. In the course of this, the charity organization "Smart Works" has already taken a precaution: the resume of the patroness Duchess Meghan has been adapted on the website of the association. Both the designation "Royal Patron" ("Royal Patroness") and "HRH – His / her royal highness" ("Royal Highness") have been removed. Instead, Meghan is only listed as "Patroness" and "Duchess of Sussex".

One final step is still missing, however: on the homepage of the website, the Duchess is still referred to as the "royal patron". By the end of March, this name will also definitely disappear. "Smart Works" helps women from difficult social backgrounds to integrate into the world of work – among other things by providing appropriate clothing for interviews. Duchess Meghan has been supporting the project since January 2019.

Meghan made her last appointment as a senior member of the British royal family in mid-March. A meeting of representatives of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the Chevening Scholarship and the Blue Charter Society from eleven Commonwealth countries took place in Buckingham Palace. The couple will officially give up their royal duties on March 31.
