Duchess Meghan chose special earrings for today’s procession in honor of the late Queen: a former gift from the Queen.

Duchess Meghan (40) chose very special earrings for the procession in honor of the late Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) on Wednesday, September 14. The pearl earrings she also wore on the Queen’s coffin in Westminster Hall during the procession, were according to the Daily Mail a gift from the grandmother of her husband Prince Harry (37). The mother of two received the jewelry from the Queen shortly after their wedding in 2018.

In June 2018 she wore the earrings on her only solo visit to the Queen in Cheshire – just a few weeks after the wedding. Meghan did not walk the procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall. Like almost all the ladies of the house, including Queen Consort Camilla (75) and Princess Kate (40), she drove in black limousines to the British Parliament, where Queen Elizabeth II lay in state until her funeral next Monday, September 19th becomes.
