A few days ago, Duchess Meghan’s children’s book “The Bench” was published. The author is now donating 2000 copies of the book for a good cause.

At the beginning of the week, the children’s book “The Bench” was published by Duchess Meghan (39). The mother of two now wants to give her book away for free to libraries, schools and organizations in the USA. That was on the website of the organization “Archewell” announced by Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan.

An official statement states that the duke couple and the members of their organization want to honor and support the “great world changers who promote cohesion, compassion and affection for every child”. After the difficult months of the Corona crisis, it is now necessary to promote the well-being of school children and their parents. One also wants to do this through education.

Together with the publisher of the children’s book and the organization “First Book”, Archewell will therefore be giving away 2,000 pieces of “The Bench” to libraries, community centers, schools and non-profit organizations across America.

The book also features Prince Harry, Archie, and baby Lili

“The Bench” explores the bond between fathers and sons from the perspective of a mother. Duchess Meghan was inspired for the book by husband Prince Harry and their 2-year-old son Archie. Both appear several times in Christian Robinson’s illustrations. But Duchess Meghan and the newborn daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana also appear in the book.

British Prince Harry and US actress Meghan Markle have been married since May 2018. Almost exactly a year later, their son Archie was born in London. In spring 2020, the couple resigned from all positions and duties as senior royals and moved to California, where their daughter Lili was born on June 4th.
