Duchess Meghan: The trial will not take place until autumn 2021

Duchess Meghan's trial of "Mail on Sunday" will not take place in January 2021 as planned. It has been postponed until next fall.

Duchess Meghan (39) does not have to appear in court in January next year. The reason: The trial against Associated Newspapers Ltd, the publisher of "Mail on Sunday", was postponed to autumn 2021. As reported by "The Guardian", among other things, Judge Mark Warby (62) from the Supreme Court in London approved a request from Meghan's lawyers on Thursday (October 29). The reasons for the postponement are "confidential".

An exact date for the start of the process in autumn is not known. Originally, the hearings should have started on January 11th in London. Prince Harry's wife (36) is suing the media company for copyright infringement, among other things. In April 2019, "Mail on Sunday" published an article that reproduced excerpts from a handwritten letter that Meghan had sent to her father Thomas Markle (76).
