Duchess Meghan seems to be really inspired by her appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”. Now she is apparently aiming for a new career: The mother of two wants to become a talk show host.

With her visit to “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, Duchess Meghan, 40, caused a real surprise a few weeks ago. Her last public interview with Oprah Winfrey, 67, in March 2021, continues to fuel the fire and again drove a wedge between her and Prince Harry’s, 37, relationship with the British royal family. All the more surprised a cheerful and exuberant Meghan in conversation with Ellen DeGeneres, 63.

Duchess Meghan in her element

While serious allegations against the Royal Family and the press dominated her explosive Oprah interview, it almost seemed as if the American wanted to restore her reputation as an entertaining entertainer. She lightly chatted anecdotes from her past as an aspiring actress in Hollywood, beamed into the camera, laughed a lot while telling stories from everyday family life with two young children. She even condescended to a sketch with a hidden camera, where she had to listen to the commands of the talk show host.

Now the 40-year-old is said to have tasted blood and dream of a career as a talk show host. “Meghan felt revived by the whole Ellen experience and when she got home she was excited what a dream job it would be for her,” an insider told heat magazine. “She likes the idea of picking someone for an interview according to her wishes, while having a lot of fun and bringing up topics that are important to her – especially as it will make her more popular.”

Thomas Markle rates the Ellen interview as “ridiculous”

While the former “Suits” actress obviously enjoyed her foray into show business, squats at a weekly market and ate chips like a squirrel, she also called on numerous critics. As usual, one of them is her father. “It’s not a way to behave,” said Thomas Markle, 77, in an interview with the Sunday Mirror. “The whole thing was kind of embarrassing. It was certainly embarrassing for the Royal Family.” Megan presented himself as a duchess, but he had “never seen a duchess who behaved like that, doing stupid PR stunts,” he said.

But despite all the critics, Meghan seems to have formulated her career dream for herself. “She knows that she and Harry should never have sat down with Ellen if they were still working royals,” the insider continued, “and she thinks that’s just ridiculous.” It is still supposed to “make her shudder” when she thinks back on how she had to behave. She is grateful that she is now “at home” and surrounded by “like-minded people”.

According to the informant, there should already be a working title for Meghan’s talk show, which in turn seems to be inspired by her short past as a Senior Royal: “Tea With Duchess Meghan” (German: “Tea with Duchess Meghan”).
