Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, 59, will appear on a children’s show to read a bedtime story for a special cause – just like Princess Kate, 42, did two years ago. The otherwise media-shy sister-in-law of King Charles III, 75, will appear on the British TV show “CBeebies Bedtime Story” on October 10th for World Sight Day. like several media outlets following an announcement from the BBC report.

According to the BBC, the Duchess of Edinburgh will read the book “Specs for Rexby” by Yasmeen Ismail. The book is about a little lion who was distressed about getting glasses before learning how much they made his life better. With the BBC’s announcement, a photo was also released showing the Duchess laughing and wearing glasses while holding a yellow smiling emoji pillow into the camera and sitting next to other cuddly toys.

“Millions of us need glasses to see the world clearly. World Sight Day is a reminder for all of us to take care of our eyes, whether we need glasses or not,” Sophie says in a trailer for her cameo -Appearance in the upcoming “CBeebies Bedtime Stories” episode. “Our eyes are precious, and vision is something we can cherish and care for. So let’s remember to take care of our eyes on this day.”

Use for personal reasons
