We didn’t see this nail trend coming: The so-called “duck nails” are currently conquering social media. We’ll tell you how to wear the new nail design and why we’d rather keep our hands off the viral trend.

TikTok is actually our first port of call for new nail trends. But this time we’re just staring at our smartphones in disbelief. Because the so-called duck nails are currently trending at TikTok and Co.

US rapper starts the trend

Bhad Bhabie, 18, better known as Danielle Marie Bregoli, started the trend a few days ago. She posted a making-of video of her nails on her TikTok account and went viral with it. Around eleven million people have already watched the video. The reactions to the new trend have been mixed. But Danielle celebrates her new nail look. Under the video she writes: “I’m in love with these”.

Duck Nails: Unusual nail trend

Duck Nails means something like “duck nails” in German. And it is precisely this name that perfectly describes the new nail trend. Because with their fanned out shape, the nails are reminiscent of little duck feet. New trend makes fingers appear chunky

Unfortunately, we can hardly imagine that the nails are suitable for everyday use. And the bright colors, combined with the decorations and the many details, are just a bit ‘too much’ for our taste. We are therefore placing our hopes on the next nail trend and until then we will stick with more classic nail designs that make our fingers look fine and elegant.
