Duhamel affair: Alexandre Kouchner evokes "trying" and "painful" days for his family: Current Woman The MAG

It is with a heavy heart that the Sciences Po teacher expressed himself. Monday February 15, 2021, Alexandre kouchner was the guest of the morning ofEurope 1 at the microphone of Sonia Mabrouk. Almost a month after the revelations of his sister, Camille Kouchner, who accuses political scientist Olivier Duhamel of having raped one of his brothers in the book La Familia Grande, the impact is still being felt. On February 8, 2021, the hashtag was born #SciencesPigs on Twitter with which dozens of Sciences Po students revealed to have been the victim of rape on the premises of the establishment. Alexandre Kouchner, a former student but also a teacher at Sciences Po, had also given his full support to the many people who testified. Asked about the shock that occurred in his own family, Bernard Kouchner's son said some heartbreaking words.

"We must protect those who do not have to be attacked, just because they were born"

"My family has lived through a tumultuous, painful, trying time, but here too I think you have to know, and see that this debate has escaped us in reality, it is no longer about my family, it is also about a very specific act, incest, its ruptures, its silence … ", explained the young teacher to Sonia Mabrouk. However, Alexandre Kouchner wishes to see further than his isolated case. As he explains, the testimony of his sister Camille Kouchner should serve as a lesson so that such a silence never takes place again: "There is a real social debate to be had. But what matters isn't just my family's life anymore, it's that we can finally live up to it. We must protect those who do not have to be attacked, just because they were born ", he expressed.

In addition, Alexandre Kouchner also reacted to the resignation of Frédéric Mion, director of the Institute of Political Studies in Paris, on February 9, 2021. The senior official had indeed revealed that the facts alleged against Olivier Duhamel had been reported to him. two years ago, without any sanction being considered. According to recent revelations from Marianne and Chained Duck, Frédéric Mion would also have tried to cover up the case by lying to the inspection of the establishment. For Alexandre Kouchner, this resignation is a very good act that it is "late". Olivier Duhamel remains however presumed innocent of the acts with which he is accused until the judgment of the case.
