The film Dunes by Denis Villeneuve has visibly put this cult work back in the limelight, and we’ve seen more and more adapter projects springing up lately. We have already had the right to Dune: Spice Wars at Shiro Games, which explored more of the genre of strategy, and Funcom intends to use this universe as a setting for his next survival game. The latter could soon be revealed to the general public, if we guess the intention behind the latest tweet from the insider The Snitch.

If you follow the news, you may already know The Snitch, who has rarely been wrong and who has fun leaking things without ever saying too much, just to let us play guessing games. His last tweet contains only an image which obviously makes one think of the universe of Duneswith a character that has obviously been photoshopped to add a hell of a wig.
It doesn’t take much to think about the survival game Dunes what is Funcom preparing, after tackling Conan Exiles. We had already had some concept art for the title, but nothing more concrete. And with Gamescom getting closer, it’s hard not to think of a presentation close enough to this game. Dunes. We will stop the speculation game there, but we will follow it closely.
