Let the players rejoice, Dune: Spice Wars won’t keep them languishing for too long. The way management and strategy game 4X was unveiled during Game Awards 2021, Funcom and Shiro Games then promised a launch in Early Access in 2022, and then the studios tightened the release window to spring of that year.
And no tricks, Dune: Spice Wars will be available from April 26, 2022 on PC in early access. Players will therefore be able to embark on this adventure based on Franck Herbert’s books and embody one of the four factions trying to dominate the planet. Arrakis to get their hands on the precious spice. Yes, “four factions”, because in addition to the Atreides, Harkonnen and Smugglers, players will be able to find the Fremen. Boasting improved ability to move and survive in the desert, reduced chance of attracting Colossal Sandworms, and improved ability to ally with Hidden Sietches (neutral native settlements), the Fremen are uniquely positioned to expand their area of influence in order to control the planet.
