Note that Denis Villeneuve does not like to use the word sequel, and really considers the upcoming film as a 2nd part. “It’s not like it’s another story or another time. It’s really the second part of a larger story, and I’m totally focused on this second part. I’m not the multi-tasking type. I like to dedicate myself 100% to one project at a time.“
The filming of Dune 2 is scheduled for this summer for a release already dated October 18, 2023 in France.
