A felled tree fell on a forest road in Salzburg’s Kleinarl on a car. Two people (71 and 93) were injured.
A car was hit by a tree that had just been felled in Wagrain (Pongau) on Thursday afternoon. The car driver (71) ignored the forest workers’ barrier and drove into the restricted area. The driver and her passenger (93) suffered serious injuries. The tree hit the car in the bonnet area and threw it a few meters down the slope. Fire brigade recovered the car. One of the two injured people had to be transported by helicopter. An ambulance brought the second person to the Schwarzach hospital. The Kleinarl fire brigade was finally able to recover the car with the winch and pulleys.
