Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the most successful actors of all time. Now he also inspires with his rap arts.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (49) is making his rap debut. The American became known as a wrestler and has been one of the most successful actors in the world for years. Now the family man has tried something new: Together with rap legend Tech N9ne (49), Joey Cool and King ISO he recorded the single “Face Off”. And the 49-year-old actually raps a few lines on the track that he wrote himself.
The action star and tech N9ne met years ago on the set of the series “Ballers”. “When Tech wrote to me, I knew it was going to work. We’re coordinated in terms of our work ethic and desires,” said The Rock in an interview with “Variety”.
Johnson: “I’ve always loved music”
Is the “Fast & Furious” star turning her back on acting? “I’ve never had the ambition to become a hip-hop artist or a rapper. So the straight answer is ‘no’,” he said, already giving the all-clear. Still, he wouldn’t turn down other opportunities to make music. “I’ve always loved music,” emphasized the fitness freak.
Tech N9ne himself joked in an interview with the industry magazine about his friend’s crazy career. “He has more important things to do now. I’m so blessed that he wanted to do that to me. But I think he’ll be president first,” said the musician.
