Techland had given us an appointment this Thursday evening to watch the last episode of Dying 2 Know, his show revealing new information about Dying Light 2 Stay Human, and more particularly a first look at 4-player co-op and a comparison between the console versions. Of course, there was more to it in the nearly 20 minutes of this program, which you can now watch in full below.
Regarding the co-op, if you join a friend’s game, you will keep your progress and gear, enough to help him if you have advanced further in the adventure. More interesting as a detail, during the choices to be made, each player will have the right to express themselves and not only the host, who will still have the burden of having the last word. A (too) short video with 4 players ready to fight was then broadcast, with parkour and very violent fights to demonstrate in a few seconds all the potential of cooperation.
Likewise, the comparison between the platforms is quite brief and not full screen, but still allows toget a quick idea of the result on PS4, Xbox One X, PS5 and Xbox Series X, with next-gen consoles obviously having the advantage. Techland promises to show us more soon, so wait & see.
Furthermore, the competition UGC which had been launched will soon come to an end, and it is the cosplayer Irina Meier who thus sent a message to the fans, she who is part of the jury. The results will be given on TechlandGG where a comic banshee has been added, readable for free. The developers also spoke on video, telling us for example that there are around 1,300 NPCs in the game of which more than 600 are talking about.
Finally, the highlight of the show was the broadcast ofa trailer of gameplay titled The Reason, which also acts as trailer launch according to Jonah Scott. Attention, if you want to keep a maximum of surprise, do not watch it, because it shows us more about the past ofAidan and visibly well advanced passages of the main quest, in addition to referring to a character well known to players from the first episode. What is certain is that the hype is present and the kinematics The City at the very end of the episode only reinforces it.
As a reminder, Dying Light 2 Stay Human will be released on February 4 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch (Cloud Version) and PC (see system requirements). It is available for pre-order on Amazon from €50.99.
